Valencia Discover / CityDiscover (“the App”) is operated by DreamHat (“we”, “our”, “us”). This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our mobile application.
1. Data We Collect
- Name: We collect your first name when you sign in with Google or Apple, solely to display it in your profile.
- Email address: We collect your email when you sign in with Google or Apple to identify your account and facilitate account recovery.
- Precise GPS location (coordinates): We collect your real-time GPS coordinates to determine your proximity to points of interest and record your visits. This information is stored linked to your account.
- Approximate location: In the CityDiscover version, we detect the city you are in to show you the relevant content. This detection is temporary and is not stored linked to your identity.
- Device identifier (UUID): We generate a unique identifier on your device to associate your progress. This identifier is not linked to your personal identity.
- Username and bio: You may voluntarily provide a username and profile description to appear on rankings and your public profile.
- Profile photo: You may optionally upload a profile picture. Images are stored on Cloudinary.
- Push notification token: We collect your device token to send you notifications about your progress, new routes, or other updates. You can disable notifications at any time from your system settings.
- Search history: We record searches you perform within the App to improve results and the overall experience.
- Activated and purchased routes: We store which routes you have activated or purchased to provide continuous access to your content.
- Usage data: We collect data about how you interact with the App (screens visited, actions taken, events). This data is associated with your device identifier (pseudonymous) and processed through PostHog to improve the user experience.
2. How We Use Your Data
- Authenticate your account and maintain your active session.
- Verify your presence at locations to record visits and unlock achievements.
- Display your progress and position on rankings.
- Send you relevant push notifications about the App.
- Improve the application experience and its features through usage analytics.
- Detect your city in the CityDiscover version to show you the appropriate content.
3. Third-Party Services That Receive Your Data
We use the following third-party services, which may receive part of your data to perform their functions:

4. Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure cloud servers. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration.

If you are located in the European Union, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Access: You may request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Rectification: You may request correction of inaccurate data.
- Erasure: You may request deletion of your personal data.

- Objection: You may object to the processing of your data in certain circumstances.
6. Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data from the Settings section within the application.
We will process deletion requests within a maximum of 30 days.
